RE-COVERING A POOL TABLE


One of our most common requests is for a pool table's cloth to be removed and re-covered. This will largely be due to general wear and tear and in most cases will be a straight forward job. If the pool table is damaged around the cloth then this may take longer to do, but generally we allow 2-3 hours to complete the process.


What work is involved to re-cover a pool table?

  1. Firstly, the cushions are removed, stripped and inspected for loose and worn rubber. Timber is also checked for damaged prior to re-covering.
  2. The slate is then removed, stripped and cleaned to discard any loose debris.
  3. New cloth is then placed on to the slate. The edges are then glued and the cloth is stretched to the required tension.
  4. The cloth is trimmed and pockets are cut as required.
  5. Finally, the slate and cushions are then replaced back in to position.
